Jiří Pehe

Jiří Pehe (born 26 August 1955)[1] is a Czech political analyst and writer, and since 1999, has been the Director of New York University's academic center in Prague.

He studied law and philosophy at Charles University in Prague, where he earned a Magister's degree in 1978 and a doctorate in 1980[1].

[1] He attended School of International Affairs at Columbia University in New York and graduated in 1985.

From August 1988, he worked as a Czechoslovak analyst for Radio Free Europe in Munich.

[1][3] Pehe has written numerous essays and papers that have appeared in world newspapers and academic publications and has also published several books, including three novels.
