[3] Adell was considered one of the top prospects for the 2017 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft.
[7] Adell began his professional career in June 2017 with the AZL Angels, and after batting .288/.351/.542 with four home runs, 21 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases, he was promoted to the Orem Owlz.
On August 1, Adell was promoted to the Salt Lake Bees of Triple–A Pacific Coast League.
