Joan Weiner

Joan Weiner is an American philosopher and professor emerita of philosophy at Indiana University Bloomington,[1] known for her books on Gottlob Frege.

Weiner majored in mathematics at the University of Michigan, graduating with high distinction and honors in 1975.

She completed a Ph.D. in philosophy at Harvard University in 1982.

She was promoted to associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1988 and full professor in 1997, while also earning a master's degree in biostatistics from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1993.

In 2002 she moved to Indiana University Bloomington,[1][2] and in 2019 she retired as a professor emerita.
