Joan Williams (artist)

Joan Williams RE RWS (1922–2002) was a Welsh artist, printmaker, watercolourist and teacher,[1][2] who found inspiration from bleak moorland, marshes, outcrops of rocks & long empty foreshores.

[4] Head of printmaking at Maidstone College of Art[1][2] where, amongst others, she taught Richard Spare (1971–74) and Tracey Emin (1983–86),[4] also teaching at Medway College of Art and Shusta College, California.

Living in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, and Wateringbury, Kent.
