Joanne Rycroft-Malone

Joanne Rycroft-Malone OBE is a British researcher who is a Distinguished Professor and the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medicine at Lancaster University.

[1] She trained as a nurse in London, and worked briefly in the pharmaceutical industry.

[2][3] She earned her doctorate at the University of Southampton, where she researched the involvement of patients in discussions about medication.

[6][7] She was appointed to Bangor University in 2006, where she was made a Professor of Health Services.

[9] She serves on the Medical Schools Council[10] and Chairs the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Implementation Strategy Group.
