By 2010, Cilley finished her MBA in Business Administration-Entrepreneurship at San Diego State University[2] and in 2011, was an instructor for Media Arts Center San Diego.

[3] Cilley became a part of the advisory committee for GI Film Festival San Diego and a Community Voices contributor for The San Diego Union Tribune in 2020.

[4][5][6] Later that year, Sue Vicory produced Panic at Parq, a tribute short film to Cilley.

Cilley founded the Film Consortium San Diego in 2012.

[12][13] Later that year, a Black Lives Matter Film Challenge was announced.
