Joe Wong (musician)

Joe Wong (born 1980) is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, and podcaster based in Los Angeles, California.

[1] As a drummer he is known for his work with Parts & Labor, Marnie Stern, Aa, Man Forever, and Mary Timony.

[4] As a composer he has worked on projects that include the hit Netflix series Russian Doll and Master of None; the Sundance Special Jury Prize winning feature, The Pool; documentaries such as Collapse, The Yes Men, and Independent Lens; the hit young adult film To All the Boys I've Loved Before; and avant-garde work such as Adult Swim's Superjail!

While in high school, Wong formed the band Akarso with his friend Nathan Lilley, who later sang for Call Me Lightning.

In 2001 Wong moved to Washington, D.C., and played in a short-lived band with former Faraquet guitarist, Devin Ocampo, and Bluetip bassist Jake Kump.
