Joel H. Rosenthal (born 1960) is a scholar, teacher, and executive best known for his work in ethics and international affairs.
As a scholar and teacher, Rosenthal has focused on ethics in U.S. foreign policy, with special emphasis on issues of war and peace, human rights, and pluralism.
The Council's flagship publication, Ethics & International Affairs journal, is published by Cambridge University Press.
Rosenthal is 2016 Dorsett Fellow, Dartmouth College and serves on the Advisory Board of the Athens Democracy Forum, New York Times Conferences.
From 2010-2015, Rosenthal served as an honorary professor at the University of Copenhagen and in 2008 was appointed senior fellow at the Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership, U.S.
