John Berg (priest)

He was elected on July 7, 2006 by the General Chapter of the Fraternity at its mother house in Wigratzbad, Germany, for a six-year term.

[1][4][6] Ordained by Bishop James Timlin of Scranton on September 6, 1997,[4] he has worked as both a pastor and as a seminary professor.

[6] After stepping down as superior of the FSSP, Berg was appointed as pastor of St. Mary's Church on Broadway in Providence, Rhode Island.

[8] Berg was specifically shouted-out by Immaculate Conception parishioner J.P. Jensen in a July 2024 airing of CBS's The Price is Right.

[9] For his efforts, Jensen would go on to win the grand prize of a brand new Hyundai Elantra (or, rather, the cash value thereof, "due to issues with the auto market").
