John Brinton

John Brinton (25 January 1827 – 2 July 1914) was an English carpet manufacturer and a Liberal politician.

He joined the family carpet manufacturing firm John Brinton & Co as a partner in 1848.

Brintons had a large factory at Stourport a town noted for its carpet manufacture.

[2] Brinton was elected member of parliament for Kidderminster in 1880 but accepted the Chiltern Hundreds next month because he was holding a government contract at the time.

Brinton married four times and had fourteen children of whom eleven survived into adulthood .
