John Campbell Munro

John Campbell Munro (29 September 1947 – 10 May 2018)[1] was a folk singer who was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1947 and emigrated to Adelaide, Australia in 1965.

[2] In 1990 Munro wrote a series of 12 songs depicting the events leading up to and culminating in the battle at the Eureka Stockade.

In 1992 he composed a similar set of musical pieces on the life of Australian bushranger Ned Kelly.

Munro has written many songs and his material has been recorded by artists in Canada, the UK and Australia.

He more recently formed a trio with former Colcannon members Mike O'Callaghan and Pete Titchener.
