John Englander

John Englander is an American author, oceanographer, and widely-recognized expert on rising sea level and climate change .

[6] His first book, High Tide On Main Street: Rising Sea Level and the Coming Coastal Crisis was widely acclaimed and established him as an expert who could communicate clearly and without partisan perspective.

His 2014 TEDx talk and his 2019 guest lecture in London at the prestigious Royal Institution have been viewed by over a half million people.

In 2022 Englander received considerable attention for the role he played in changing the position of New York Times columnist Bret Stephens about the severity and risks related to global warming and rising sea level.

[7] He has given expert testimony to the US Congress, House of Representatives subcommittee on Energy and Natural Resources and been featured on Discovery Channel, "Miami: Brink of Disaster."
