John Ford (footballer, born 1893)

John Ford (1893 – 3 May 1917) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as an outside right in the Football League for Preston North End.

[1] After working in munitions in Scotland,[5] Ford was called up to serve as a private in the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) during the First World War.

[6] He was killed in France on 3 May 1917 and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
