[1] Grieve was head of training at Hendon Police College and is an emeritus professor at London Metropolitan University.

[3] Staff from the Centre have lectured overseas to the military forces of a number of countries including Turkey, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, USA and Serbia.
The centre has also provided training on press and public relations to senior police officers of the People's Republic of China.
[4] In January 2004 the British government formally appointed him as a member of the Independent Monitoring Commission for Northern Ireland.
