John Geoffrey Henry Hudson, (born 7 May 1962) FBA, FRSE, FRHistS is an English medieval historian and Latin translator.
He is also known for his monographs on the subject, especially on Anglo-Norman land law, as well as his edition, translation and commentary of the Historia Ecclesie Abbendonensis.
In addition to scholarly books, chapters, articles and lectures, Hudson has also contributed to The Times Literary Supplement.
[3] In a 2006 poll by BBC History magazine for "worst Briton" of the previous millennium, Hudson's nominee for worst Briton of the 12th century, the murdered Archbishop of Canterbury Saint Thomas Becket, came second behind Jack the Ripper.
