John James Galloway

John James Galloway (18 February 1818 – 30 June 1883) was an early surveyor of Australia and New Zealand and a Member of the Queensland Legislative Council.

[1] John James Galloway was born on (1818-02-18)February 18, 1818 in Leith, Scotland.

[2] Galloway served two terms in the Queensland Legislative Council.

[1] He purchased some urban property, including around the area that now bears his name, Galloway's Hill.

He died suddenly in Brussels, Belgium on 30 June 1883 aged 64 years.
