John Manion

John "Jack" Lawrence Manion, OC (June 27, 1931 – December 24, 2010) was a Canadian civil servant.

Born in Almonte, Ontario, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ottawa in 1953.

From 1986 to 1989, he was the Associate Secretary to the Cabinet and a Senior Personnel Advisor.

From 1988 to 1991, he was Principal with the Canadian Centre for Management Development.

The Manion Lecture, the Canada School of Public Service's marquee speaking event, is named in his honour.
