John Michael Macdonald (May 3, 1906 – June 20, 1997) was a Canadian politician.
Born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, the son of Joseph Macdonald and Theresa MacDonald,[1] he was educated at St. Francis Xavier University and Dalhousie University.
During World War II, Macdonald served with the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and with the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps.
In 1956, he was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly, representing the electoral district of Cape Breton North.
