John Paul Kacavas[1] (born March 27, 1961)[2] is an American lawyer and former politician who served as the United States Attorney for the District of New Hampshire from 2009 to 2015.
[6] While in high school, he was a starting guard on Central's state championship basketball team .
[7] He graduated from Saint Michael's College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science in 1983, American University School of International Service with a Master of Arts degree in international affairs in 1987, and Boston College Law School with a Juris Doctor in 1990.
[10] Since 2015 he has served as chief legal officer and general counsel at Dartmouth Health System.
[9] In May 2009 he was nominated by President Obama to serve as the United States Attorney for the District of New Hampshire.
