John Richard Hyde

John Richard Hyde (15 November 1912 – 15 July 2003) was a Canadian soldier, provincial politician and judge.

He studied law at Cambridge University from 1934 to 1935 and the Université de Montréal from 1935 to 1938.

During World War II, he served with the Royal Canadian Artillery in France and Belgium.

After the war, he resumed his law practice and remained in the reserves eventually reaching the rank of Brigadier-General.

He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Quebec representing the riding of Westmount–Saint-Georges in a 1955 by-election.
