Sir John Ronald Peddie (1887–1979) was a Scottish educational administrator and author.
He was both Secretary and Treasurer of the Carnegie Trust for Scotland.
[1] He was born on 5 January 1887 the son of Richard Dawes Peddie of Grangemouth.
In the First World War he served at the rank of adjutant with Glasgow University's Officer Training Corps, receiving a military MBE for his work.
In 1937 he was made a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire by King George VI.
