John Wylie (footballer, born 1936)

John Edward Wylie (26 September 1936 – 18 September 2013) was a footballer who played as a right half for Preston North End, Stockport County, and Doncaster Rovers.

Joining Division One side Huddersfield Town from school, Wylie never made a first team appearance in his three seasons there.

[2] Division One, Preston North End signed him in May 1957 on a free transfer.

[2] He was signed by Fourth Division team Stockport County for £3,500 in November 1962.

[1][4] His last game for Rovers was in September 1967 against Wrexham where he was substituted by Graham Ricketts.
