Johnson, Oklahoma

Johnson is a town in north-central Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, United States.

[5] According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 4.0 square miles (10 km2), all land.

In 1982 residents decided to incorporate to stop Shawnee's plans to establish a landfill near the Johnson community.

14.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 9.9% of families and 9.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 11.1% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those 65 or over.
