José López Rosario

José "Coquito" López Rosario (1976 – July 28, 2006 ) was a Puerto Rican drug dealer and kingpin as well as a mafia boss.

He enjoyed baseball and became known for his ability to play that sport as a teenager According to police records, López Rosario rose to prominence in the underworld after the alleged former Puerto Rican mafia bosses were sent to jail or killed.

[1] During his musical career, he had ties with artists such as Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Tito El Bambino, Tego Calderón, Zion & Lennox, and others.

“Coco is in the movie and he was my lifelong brother” The role of Coquito corresponds to that of a partner of "Edgar Dinero", a young man who must decide between whether to abandon life in the underworld and dedicate himself to music.

I feel happy, because I supported someone who is a talent from the neighborhood and I was able to get the best out of the guy, "explained Yankee, recalling the characterization of López, who, however, does not appear in the credits of the film.

And Coco was an athlete, a baseball player and a positive guy.” López Rosario died six days later at Centro Medico in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico after being shot.
