Jose Perez (American football)

He was selected by the New York Yankees in the seventh round of the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft.

With the Oceanside Pirates he played middle linebacker in his freshman year before switching to wide receiver.

Perez then joined SDSU's football team as a walk-on, where was converted from receiver to cornerback.

[3][4][5] Perez received an honorable mention for the All-Mountain West team in his senior year.

[6] Perez was signed by the Miami Dolphins as undrafted free agent in 2011, but was released in the preseason.
