Joseph baronets

There have been two baronetcies created for persons with the surname Joseph, both in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom.

He was co-chairman and managing director of the construction company Bovis and also served as Lord Mayor of London from 1942 to 1943.

In 1987 he was created a life peer as Baron Joseph, of Portsoken in the City of London, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom.

On Lord Joseph's death in 1994, he was succeeded in the baronetcy by his son, the third Baronet, who did not use his title or prove his succession to the baronetcy and was therefore not on the Official Roll of the Baronetage, with the baronetcy considered dormant[1] and on his 2019 death his son did not seek to prove his own succession as fourth baronet.

The heir presumptive is the present holder's brother Thomas Owain Joseph (born 1994).
