Joshua S. Levy

Joshua S. Levy is an American lawyer who served as the United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts from 2024 to 2025.

[2] Since May 19, 2023, he has served as acting United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts.

[2][3] He assumed the role of acting United States Attorney after two separate ethics reports published by the Justice Department Office of Inspector General and U.S. Office of Special Counsel detailed Hatch Act violations and abuse of power by his predecessor Rachael Rollins.

[4] On October 18, 2023, President Joe Biden announced his intent to nominate Levy to be the United States attorney for the District of Massachusetts.

[6] On January 3, 2024, his nomination was returned to the president under Rule XXXI, Paragraph 6 of the United States Senate.
