Josiah Hayden Drummond (August 30, 1827 – October 25, 1902)[1] was an American attorney and politician.
[2] He married Elzada Rollins (Bean) on December 10, 1850, and had three daughters and one son.
[3] He entered politics as a Democrat, but when the Republican Party was formed he joined it.
He was a State Senator in 1859, and resigned his seat to accept the position of Maine Attorney General, which he held from 1860 to 1863.
[7][8] With his son he formed Drummond & Drummond law firm in 1881 which continues to the present day[9] in downtown Portland, Maine, as one of the oldest firms in the state.
