Judith Salzedo Hays née Peixotto (December 30, 1823 – March 1, 1881) was a Jewish-American teacher and principal from New York.
Her father was a Dutch immigrant and physician, and her paternal grandfather Moses Levi Maduro Peixotto was hazan of Shearith Israel.

[2] Following her father's death in 1843, Peixotto began working as a teacher and became the family's main support as the eldest sibling.
