[2] In 1975, McClintock competed alongside her brothers at the National Water Skiing Championships in Ottawa.
[3] Shortly thereafter, McClintock began her international competitive career in 1977 at the Water Ski World Championships in Milan, Italy, when she was 13 years old.
[1] In the same year, she competed in the juvenile division of the 1977 Canadian National Water Skiing Championships where she set a new record with 50.5 points.
[12] After earning her first Masters Water Ski Trick championship title, McClintock was inducted into the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame.
[15] McClintock married Perry John Messer in 1985 and together they opened a fitness business in Northampton, Massachusetts.
