Junior Stars (ジュニアスターズ, Juniasutāzu) is a professional wrestling tag team consisting of Minoru Tanaka and Koji Kanemoto.
As Kanemoto became a fan favourite once again, Heat finally began to achieve success, beating Jado for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship in December 2003.
[11] After Kanemoto began competing outside of NJPW in 2011, he debuted for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) on March 6, re-forming the Junior Stars with Minoru to defeat Kaz Hayashi and Shuji Kondo.
[13] Kanemoto once again returned to AJPW in November and the two entered the 2011 Real World Tag League and performed well, defeating the likes of Manabu Soya and Takao Omori and Masanobu Fuchi and Taiyo Kea, but were unable to reach the final and finished the tournament with 8 points.
[14] In 2012, Kanemoto was traded to All Japan full time and the Junior Stars officially re-formed, defeating Turmeric Storm (Tomoaki Honma and Kazushi Miyamoto) to win the All Asia Tag Team Championship on October 21.
After Minoru eventually left Wrestle-1 in 2016, they reformed once again in Zero1 and won the NWA International Lightweight Tag Team Championship from Isami Kodaka and Takumi Tsukamoto in March 2017.
On November 25, 2018, Kanemoto and Hiroshi Yamato unsuccessfully challenged Minoru and Hi69 for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.
