As coach Junji Hoshino (星野 順治, Hoshino Junji, born June 18, 1974) is a Japanese former professional baseball pitcher, and current the pitcher's coordinator for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).
[2] During the 1998 season, he made his Pacific League debut and pitched in two games.
[3] In the second year of his career, he posted a 10-8 win–loss record and a 3.98 ERA in 21 games pitched, and contributed to the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks' first Pacific League championship.
After his retirement, Hoshino served as assistant conditioning coach for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks from the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
[2][5] He serve as the fourth squad pitcher's coordinator since the 2023 season.
