Drescher was signed by the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent following the 2010 NFL draft on April 26, 2010.

Drescher was signed by the New Orleans Saints on November 22, 2010, after long snapper Jake Ingram was waived by the team following a botched snap.

[4] While with the Saints, he was teammates with placekicker Garrett Hartley and holder Chase Daniel, all of whom went to Carroll Senior High School.

[5] On December 23, 2012, the trio connected on a game-winning field goal in overtime against the Dallas Cowboys.

[6] On December 11, 2017, Drescher was released by the Cardinals after Aaron Brewer was ready to return from injured reserve.
