Justin Packshaw

Justin James Packshaw MBE DL FRGS (born 13 March 1965) is an English entrepreneur, philanthropist and adventurer.

[13] That same year, Packshaw co-ordinated and led an expedition including two wounded veterans that followed the route of Sir Earnest Shackleton voyage of the James Caird from Antarctica to South Georgia to raise money for the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre.

[16] They started from Novolazarevskaya Station in Queen Maud Land and travelled through the interior 1,400 miles to the Geographic South Pole.

The team carried out research on climate change and also on human physiology and psychology[citation needed] working in collaboration with NASA, ESA and Stanford University.

[17] During the 2016 New Year Honours, he was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire 'for services to expeditions, youth development, and charity'.
