Kader Arif (Arabic: قادر عريف; born 3 July 1959 in Algiers) is a French politician of the French Socialist Party (PS) who served as Junior Minister for Veterans to the French Minister of Defence Jean-Yves Le Drian from 2012 until 2014.
He played as hooker for the French rugby union club Castres Olympique.
[1] During his time as Member of the European Parliament, Arif served on the Committee on International Trade.
[3] On 16 May 2012, Arif was appointed Junior Minister for Veterans at the French Ministry of Defence in the government of Jean-Marc Ayrault by President François Hollande.
[4] On 21 November 2014, Arif resigned due to suspicion on fraud and opening of judicial inquiry.
