Kalatuz (Kazakh: Қалатұз) is a salt lake in Akkuly District, Pavlodar Region, Kazakhstan.
[1][2] The lake lies 47 kilometers (29 mi) to the NNW of Akkuly, the district capital, and about 55 kilometers (34 mi) southeast of Pavlodar, the regional capital.
It lies in a tectonic depression of the Kulunda Plain close to the Irtysh, only 4 kilometers (2.5 mi) northeast from its channel.
[3] The shores are mostly sloping and on the northern and southern sides there are sections with up to 6 meters (20 ft) high cliffs.
