Kapalua, Hawaii

Kapalua is a census-designated place (CDP) in Maui County, Hawaiʻi, United States.

Kapalua is located along the northwest coast of Maui at 20°59′48″N 156°39′11″W / 20.99667°N 156.65306°W / 20.99667; -156.65306[3] along Route 30, known as the Honoapiʻilani Highway.

Kapalua has a tropical savanna climate, the rare dry-summer variant (Köppen: As; Trewartha: Asaa).

Kapalua Resort offers accommodations, a variety of restaurants, a shop, and several golf courses.

The name kapa lua means "two borders" in the Hawaiian language.

12.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
