Katharine Bridget 'Kate' Pretty, CBE, FSA (born 18 October 1945) is a British archaeologist and academic.
She studied at New Hall, Cambridge, graduating with Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees.
[2] Under her leadership, Homerton became the newest college of the University of Cambridge, having previously been an Approved Society.
[4] In November 2009, Pretty was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) 'for services to higher education'.
[6] In October 2011, she was elected an Honorary Fellow of Harris Manchester College, Oxford.
