Kathleen Anne Kron (born 1956)[1] is a retired biology professor from Wake Forest University.
[2] In 2020, she retired as full professor from Wake Forest University.
[3] Kron ran a lab concerned with the large-scale relationships between flowering plants using Ericaceae as a model organism.
[4] In 2011, Rhododendron kroniae Craven, was named in honor of Kron and her work defining the evolutionary relationships within Ericaceae.
[5] Rhododendron groenlandicum (Oeder) Kron & Judd is named after Georg Christian Oeder, whose work was amended by Kron and Walter Stephen Judd.
