Kearsley Academy

Previously a foundation school administered by Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, George Tomlinson School converted to academy status in September 2010 and was renamed Kearsley Academy.

However the school continues to coordinate with Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council for admissions.

[1] Kearsley Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels, Cambridge Nationals and further BTECs.

[2] There was a substantial increase in the 5 GCSE with Maths and English pass rate.
