The series was created by director Tatsuki and his three-person animation group irodori.

[1][4] On October 28, 2017, Tatsuki announced that he was recruiting background artists for an unannounced project.

[5] Tatsuki and irodori announced a new television anime project with a flier at Comiket on December 29, 2017.
