Kent Lovern is an American prosecutor and politician from Wisconsin who has served as the Milwaukee County District Attorney since January 6, 2025.
Prior to his election as district attorney, Lovern was a career prosecutor and the longtime chief deputy to his predecessor John Chisholm.
He worked in the Firearms Enforcement Unit led by supervising assistant district attorney John T. Chisholm.
In 2008, Lovern was promoted to chief deputy district attorney, the second-ranked position in the office.
