Kenzo Oshima

Kenzo Oshima (大島 賢三, Ōshima Kenzō, May 14, 1943 – May 29, 2021) was a Japanese diplomat.

Oshima was the recipient of a law degree from the University of Tokyo before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1967.

In mid-January 2001, Secretary-General Kofi Annan appointed him head of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

During his early diplomatic career he was posted abroad to France, India, Australia, and the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations headquarters in New York City.
