Born in Los Angeles, California, McKenzie went to Woodrow Wilson high school in Long Beach and played college football at Washington State University.
McKenzie became launched his own personal training company focused on training high-skilled athletes coined Fitsquad His fitness brand, Fit Squad, launched in 2016.
He is also the Defensive Coordinator for 5A high school team in which each year his secondary athletes are all conference and top in the state.
He currently serves on the leadership team for the multi-million dollar non-profit organization for ARC foundation as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Community Partnerships.
