He is a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab since 2024 and was before that from April 2008 to March 2013, from September 2013 to May 2018 and from August 2018 to January 2023.
[3] His father Khawaja Muhammad Rafique was a politician, a Pakistan Movement activist and later an opposition leader to PM Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
