He was a follower of the Sufi Order of Sarwari Qadiri and was a disciple of Syed Asghar Ali Shah of Artala Sharif, Sialkot.
During his lifetime, Shahudin authored three poetry books, and translated fifteen Arabic and Persian poetic works into Punjabi.
