Kinross Charter Township, Michigan

Kinross Charter Township is a charter township of Chippewa County in the U.S. state of Michigan.

[4] The township is located in the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, 18 miles (29 km) south of Sault Ste.

Marie and 33 miles (53 km) north of St. Ignace.

As of the 2000 United States census,[1] there were 5,922 people, 1,156 households, and 887 families in the township.

The old Kinross Township Hall and School, located in Kinross, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
