Kitasatospora is an Actinobacteria genus in the family Streptomycetaceae.

The genus name comes from Shibasaburo Kitasato, a Japanese bacteriologist.

The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature (LPSN)[1] and National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)[2] K. acidiphila Kim et al. 2020 K. humi Klaysubun et al. 2022 validly published under the ICNP K. paranensis Groth et al. 2004 K. terrestris Groth et al. 2004 K. kifunensis (Nakagaito et al. 1993) Groth et al. 2003 K. azatica corrig.
