Kollumersweach

Kollumersweach (Low German: Kölmerswoag) is a village in Noardeast-Fryslân in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands.

[3] Before 2019, the village was part of the Kollumerland en Nieuwkruisland municipality.

[4] The village was first mentioned in 1444 as Zwaech, and means (cattle) pasture belonging to Kollum.

[5] Kollumersweach developed on a clay ridge from which the heath was cultivated during the 11th and 12th century.

[4] The village's official name was changed from Kollumerzwaag to Kollumersweach in 2023.
