Tito was born on 30 September 1960 in North Tabiteuea, in the Gilbert and Ellice Islands of present-day Kiribati.
Tito spent a year at St. Paul's National Seminary in Kensington, New South Wales (1990–1991).
[2] After ordination he served in the following roles: Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Tarawa and Nauru on 29 June 2020.
[6] He twice received dispensations from the requirement that he be consecrated a bishop without three months of his appointment because of travel restrictions imposed in the Pacific region due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He returned to Tarawa on 2 July and died there in the early hours of 7 August 2022 in Tungaru Central Hospital.
